Hi, I'm Marie.

I'm a nurse in LA, I DJ sometimes, and I read every event that goes into Sidetracked myself. If it's in the app, it's because I'd actually go.

The best things in this city live in expiring stories and group chats you weren't added to — and after a 12-hour shift, nobody has the bandwidth to dig. So I built the thing I needed.

the why

The night you show up to something and it exceeds every expectation. The room is right. The music is right. You're dancing next to a stranger who becomes a friend. You drove twenty minutes on a whim and it turned into one of your favorite memories. That feeling is worth protecting. Worth building for.

I'm building Sidetracked for every person who's too busy to dig through the noise but too alive to stay home. For the people who feel things deeply and want their city to meet them there. For the ones who know the magic exists but need someone — or something — to whisper, Hey. This one's for you. Go.

This is my why: the girl on her day off, restless, knowing something good is happening somewhere in this city, with no bandwidth to find it.

I'm building the thing that helps us find each other. Sidetracked isn't a utility. It's a philosophy. Getting sidetracked isn't a failure of planning. It's the whole point. The detour is the destination. The best nights are the ones you didn't see coming.
